Performance Monitoring Tool

Performance Monitoring Tool (PMT) is the latest plug-in utility for FliSAFE developed to monitor Aircraft Performance aspects. FliSAFE's architecture also allows for adding customized plug-in modules that make use of the vast amounts of FDR data available in the data repository to do different types of analysis and create reports of varying nature. Such customized plug-in modules are designed with the inputs from the airline companies to add profitability by minimizing wastage of fuel with proper planning and reduce operational costs thereby saving millions of dollars.

The latest plug-in utility PMT (Performance Monitoring Tool) developed for one of the leading airline companies in India has five submodules:

  • Aircraft Performance Monitoring (APM)
    • Monitors the snapshot of flight data in stabilized cruise conditions. The output report can be used as a direct input to manufacturer supplied performance monitoring software's.

  • Reduced Thrust Monitoring (RTM)
    • Monitors takeoff phase for reduced thrust and generates report, which can be submitted to engine overhauling companies/leasing companies etc.

  • Time Monitoring Module (TMM)
    • Detects the exact Chocks-On, Taxi-Out, Take-Off, Landing, Taxi-In, Chocks-Off time thus helping to calculate the lease charges of aircraft and crew.

  • Engine Condition Monitoring (ECM)
    • Monitors performance of the engine by key engine parameters and provides detailed reports of the same. Output of this module can be directly used as the input to SAGE and other manufacture supplied engine monitoring softwares.

  • Fuel Monitoring Module (FMM)
    • Detects exceedances that cause wastage of fuel and generates graphical and numerical report, which can be helpful in counseling the crew, thus resulting in better fuel utilization.
